An emergency landing for US-Russian crew after Soyuz launch failure

Last night at 4:47am EDT, Russia's Soyuz rocket liftoff off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome carrying 3 crew to the International Space Station. Shortly after liftoff, there was an anomaly during the separation event of the 4 side boosters, causing the crew to go on a ballistic reentry abort and land back on Earth. There hasn't been official confirmation as to what went wrong, but Russia has started a full investigation to pinpoint the issue. The crew experienced about 6.7Gs of force during their reentry into the atmosphere, but they landed safely and are in good condition.

As of right now, there's no way to send humans from Earth into space.
