Atlas V rolls out ahead of Tuesday night's launch


Today at 11:10am EDT, United Launch Alliance's Atlas V rocket made the 1,800ft journey from the vertical integration facility to Space Launch Complex 41 by rail ahead of tomorrow night's launch. The Atlas V will be launching the AEHF-4 mission for the US military and it's a protected communications relay station for them and allies.

The Atlas V will launch from SLC-41 in Cape Canaveral, FL at 12:15am EDT on Wednesday October 17th (Tomorrow Night). It is in its 511 configuration where it will utilize all 5 Solid Rocket Boosters to help loft the relay satellite into a Geostationary orbit.
