Blue Origin has successful New Shepard launch after a month delay
This morning at 10:05am EST, Blue Origin's suborbital New Shepard rocket launched from West Texas after being delayed last month due to a ground system issue. Earlier this month, SpaceX rolled out their Crew Dragon spacecraft on top of their Falcon 9 rocket for fit checks at the launchpad for the spacecraft and the Crew Access Arm. Earlier this month, SpaceX rolled out their Crew Dragon spacecraft on top of their Falcon 9 rocket for fit checks at the launchpad for the spacecraft and the Crew Access Arm. SpaceX's Cargo Dragon spacecraft returns from the International Space Station
Sunday afternoon SpaceX's Cargo Dragon spacecraft was released from the International Space Station's manipulator arm and started on its way to return back to Earth after a five-week long stay at the station. Dragon was released around 3:37pm EST and began performing automated maneuvers to move away from the Space Station to get out of the safety bubble that surrounds the station. This morning at 10:31am EDT (7:31am PST), SpaceX launched their Falcon 9 rocket for the first time this year from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, carrying the final batch of Iridium satellites into orbit around the Earth. This brought the total of the next generation of Iridium satellites in orbit to 75, completing the constellation. This launch featured a flight-proven first stage which previously supported the Telstar 18 VANTAGE mission that launched from Cape Canaveral back in Septem
